I was thinking we would allow our guests decorate some onesies and/or baby tees in various sizes during the shower. Since we have some crazy friends, I am guessing it will turn out pretty interesting.
I found this awesome slideshow from a girl who did this exact thing and I love how all of theirs turned out! I am so doing this!

Hectic Week
This week has been pretty hectic! On Saturday we went to a birthday party for Cooper, who is the 1-year-old son of our friends Slice and Casey. It was so cute, and we got to see him and little Bradley, who is only 6 months old. It really got us excited for little man to make his debut. I think I even leaned down in the car and said, "Ok, whenever you're ready" to the belly. Hehe...
Then on Sunday we got up early and drove all the way to Jacksonville to watch the Eagles game. We went with this large group of people, and even Mindy met us up there. It was insanely hot, and we were all disgustingly gross before the game even started (we tailgated for about 3 hours). We had awesome seats and everyone enjoyed my homemade tank top!
Then we had our follow up appointment on Monday. This is because they saw a bright spot on baby's heart when they looked closer at the ultrasound we had at 20 weeks. The appointment was a surprise, and we were even more surprised to learn we would be getting another ultrasound! So we thought we were going just for a meeting and instead got to see his little face again! He certainly is cute and even smiled for us at one point. I think he looks like Joe (or Damian), but I think he might have my chin. hehe... We also stopped by Sweet! By Good Golly Miss Holly (Molly?) in Orlando and got some minis. I bought a dozen in different flavors and have been eating one a day (I froze half to save for next week).
This week I have been trying to get some stuff done around the house. Tomorrow I am going to Tampa to clean my mom's apartment for her as a surprise for when she gets out of rehab. I have drill this weekend, so have some Army work to do on Friday to prepare.

Birthdays, Ball Games, and Big Appointments
Today we went beachside to attend the 1st birthday party of lil Cooper, who is the second son of our friends Chris (Slice) and Casey. We hadn't seen them in a while, so we thought it would be great to go see everyone (especially since Coop was a year old already!).
The party was tons of fun, and our other friends Chad and Kristina were there with their 6-month old baby, Bradley. It was so great to see everyone, and they all had little boys, so it was too precious. Weather was good, cake was awesome (especially on lil Cooper's face!), and we had a good time. Being around all the positive parental energy really got us both even more excited to be parents. I can't wait for this little guy to arrive!
Tomorrow we are going up to Jacksonville with a whole group of people to see the Eagles game. I am expecting it to be crazy since these guys are all party animals, but I've never been to a game before so I'm stoked. It's baby's first game! Also, I think Mindy is going to be there with some of her friends, so it'll be great to see her too.
On Monday, I am going to my very first La Lecha League meeting at 10 am. Hoping to learn some good stuff and maybe make some friends in the process. We also have to go to Orlando to meet with the maternal fetal medicine doctor about those "echogenic intracardiac foci" they saw on our last ultrasound, so that's not so good. I am expecting everything to be ok, but it's still a little nerve-wracking. To make it an ok day, we are going to hit up H&M to exchange some jeans I bought for Joe and we're going to MAYBE check out a cupcake bakery that I want to make our baby shower cupcakes. Look at these things!
They might just be perfect (or something like them) for our Rock N Roll themed party!

Sweet Clothes!
So I wanted to share a pic of the awesome maternity pants I got from H&M! I am so glad they have maternity stuff now and it's all totally awesome!
And the best part is that they were both like $40! I even like them more than my expensive 7ForAllMankind jeans...crazy, huh?
Now it just needs to cool down enough for me to wear jeans during the day. I am just about out of my short (didn't want to buy them if I didn't have to), so it's tough to get dressed some days.
Tomorrow we are going to Jacksonville to go to the Eagles game! I couldn't find a cute shirt to wear, so I decided to buy some iron-ons from Michael's and a Target tank and made my own!
And I'm going to write "#1 Draft Pick - 2030" with an arrow pointing to my belly! It's going to be uber cute. Just have to figure out what to wear on bottom!

Stocking Up
As I get ready to head to the store to pick up groceries and grab a few more baby supplies, I decided to check Google to see if anyone had a pre-made list of all the things you should have on hand for baby. And sure enough...here is a pre-formatted list from the people at Enfamil and BabyCenter.com that gives you an essential medicine chest and bathroom supplies list.
Thank you!
Thank you!

Wall Mural
We are pretty close to wrapping up the nursery project. Just a few more little tweaks and we are set! Then we just need some diapers and a baby! Pretty excited, I must say. We spend a lot of time just sitting in the room, imagining what it's going to be like to have this little man.
Wanted to share some pics of one of the DIY projects I did for the nursery, although I have more I will add later.
Here are some shots of the wall mural I painted.
Basically, I bought some different sized rings and circles from Michael's, which I used to draw a mock up of the design onto some posterboard. When I was satisfied with the design and the colors, I used the circles to draw the design on the wall. Then I painstakingly painted the design onto the wall using basic acrylic craft paint. The orange and gray took several coats, so I was there for awhile. We hung some letters I painted for his name and presto! We have a finished wall! It all looks really good in the room. Need to take some better pictures...during the day so we have some better lighting.
The other projects I've done, which I will show later, are some closet dividers, hand-painted drawer knobs, and a sweet paper mobile. All of which go along with our circles/dots theme, so it's pretty cute. Can't wait for the whole room to be done so we can take the final pictures and share with everyone!

Baby Wardrobe Stylist in the Building
I have been busy building quite the wardrobe for our little one, so I thought it would be cute to share all the all stuff I've purchased.
Since there were a lot of pics, I decided to post them on my facebook (under a public album) to keep the scrolling to a minimum.
Let me know what you think of everything!

Loving Etsy
Today I was finally able to purchase the bedding for our little man! The Etsy shop that I wanted to order from was closed until today because they were on vacation, so I was uber excited for them to open. After much deliberation, I decided to go with the darker of the dot patterns since the crib sheets will likely be solid white, so it will lighten the overall look. So here is what we ordered (disregard the pattern in the pic):
But we went with this pattern:
With a swirl black minky fabric on the back.
It comes with a little pillow too, which I requested they use orange minky fabric to set off the accent. In addition, I asked them to make a matching changing pad cover, so the whole deal is going to be super cute. They said it takes about 12 weeks to get the finished product, so I am waiting patiently. I can't wait to see everything in the room and ready to go.
While on Etsy, I decided to search for cute baby shoes and found some amazing stuff! Here are three of my favorites:
I think any of these would look super adorable on our wee one! Oh, Etsy, my love!
