Wordless{ish} Wednesday - Playing Outside

Nothing more than a few priceless gems from my 50mm experience. The Hubs' parents have these really nice neighbors with kids that Nash adores. He always wants to play with them whenever he's up there visiting. Good news is that we will be staying at their house for a while this summer until we figure out where we're going long term.

Wordless{ish} Wednesday

I love this lens...

I can't believe how amazing these photos look.  He's just so handsome...and the photographer ain't bad either.  Although I must admit a fair number of my recent photos have been, uh, less than stellar.  I'm finding it hard to adjust to the static lens (my old 55-85 had some zoom at least...and the 75-300 has serious zoomage).   I'm also noticing that I have a hard time getting the focus just right...but when I do...

These pics were taken over the weekend while we were lounging around...Nash think he owns the place.  I tend to agree...  The pic below was taken in very low light (our house is a freakin cave) and yet I think it still looks great...the softness of it adds something, I think.

Later that night, the in-laws stopped by and Nash had a good time with Grandmom (as usual).  Have I mentioned that he is wildly obsessed with anything soft and cuddly (and by obsessed I mean he loves to bite the crap out of them...affectionately, of course)?

Wordless{ish} Wednesday - Apple Eater

We've been pretty adventurous with Bubs in regards to the food we offer him.  Since he was really little, he's always been very interested in whatever we are eating, and there isn't much that he won't eat.  That being said, we are still a bit cautious about big chunks because he only has his 8 front teeth, so chewing is a bit challenging.  We've definitely had some near choking experiences

So the other day I decided we should have an apple for a snack, and normally I just hold on to it and let him take little bites while I supervise.  Well, Mr. Independent wasn't having it.  He wanted to hold that darn apple all by himself.  So, I nervously handed it over and off he went.

He climbed into his fire truck and noshed away.

He noshed on that apple for nearly 30 minutes and when he finally let us take it away, it was a mauled hunk of sticky core.  We were so proud of him (and proud of ourselves for letting him do his own thing).  Flash forward 30 minutes when we started finding little sticky bits of apple all over the playroom (he hasn't quite mastered chewing with his mouth closed).

Ok, so this post is no where near "wordless" per se, but it's still a good post.

I snapped a bunch of pics of Nash the other day and stumbled across them when I was doing his 10-Month post.  OMG serious cuteness, so I felt like I needed to share.  I'll be posting them on Facebook too, but I feel like I should save all the good pics for my readers on here (no need to spoil the surprise for those of you who come via facebook).

Wordless{ish} Wednesday - Playground Love

On the last day of our tumultuous vacation, we were actually able to head outside and get some fresh air.  We decided it was time to take the little man to the really awesome playground right near his parents house...and it was definitely a success!
