This weekend we all piled into the car early one day to head over to this upscale outdoor shopping mall for some retail therapy.
We were in search of shoes - new running sneaks for me and new everyday sneaks for Joe. No shoes for me, but we did find some other sweet gems.
Nashie got some new Puma sneaks, a fedora, some shades, and a long-sleeve tee all from the Gap. He wore the Pumas to school today and already got compliments.
Daddy got new Pumas, and Mama got two tanks and some really awesome crops from Lululemon, which is my all time favorite store. I could literally spend my life savings in there.
If only every weekend were filled with endless piles of money and beautiful clothes.

Cute Man Accessories
Accessorizing for boys is hard. There isn't a lot out there and most of what I do find is either over the top rock and roll or sports related. Or too oooey goooey little boy cheesy for me.
I've been dying for some suspenders for quite some time now, but neither Zara nor H&M (my two go-to's for boy stuff) has had them. So I did what any good mama would do: check etsy.

I just bought these black and white chevron beauties over at Petite Peanut Boutique on Etsy for less than $20. I also got a set in red houndstooth...cannot wait for them to arrive so we can jazz up Nash's outfits!

Friday's Fashion Wrap Up - vol. 16
Coming to you from the unemployment line! Haha, not really...I actually got another job already. I'm totally kicking myself for not taking advantage of this time off and saying yes to work already. To make matters worse, the job is only for four months and requires me to move to Jacksonville. Which wouldn't ordinarily bother me (I like change), but I'm moving out of my house, prepping for my two week Army duty, and oh yeah, I have a family now. All this makes for utter chaos...which is not what I had in mind for right now.
But on to the matter at hand. This is what I wore today on my way to the salon. I decided it was time to chop off the locks and get a little style going. I think I've been falsely describing my style as hippy and vintage...when really it was just dull and lazy.
So, here's the first installment of the REAL casual Friday.
I threw in these last two pictures so you can see my hair. Super long. Super drab. HORRID roots. It was just easy. I'll post a picture of the new cut once I get it styled the way I like it...you know how that goes.

Friday's Fashion Wrap Up - vol. 15
It wouldn't be FFWU if I wasn't late in posting this, right? Come on guys, right? Anyone? Bueller?
Well, sorry for the delay...my last day of work wasn't quite as laid back as I thought it would be thanks to a last minute project (typical...and largely why I'm leaving), Bubs being dropped off at 4:45 because Daddy had to be in work early, and my files not copying onto my hard drive properly. All that amounts to me posting this late Saturday night while curled up in bed trying to shove the sickness down so I can be witty and cool...all for you guys.
Fail.
Ok, let's stick to what I do know...posting outfit pics... This whole week at work I was super casual...just not feeling like getting dressed up since I knew it was my last week. This was one of my more put together outfits of the week.
Of course my hair was wet, so all did was put it up in a pony tail, braided a small section, then wrapped it around the base of the pony. Not too exciting for pictures...and I don't particularly care for pictures with wet hair. New blog goal: no more wet hair pics.
On a somewhat related note, I think I'm going to change my hair back to the way it used to be. I've been growing it out and letting it be sort of dark...it's all very hippie and laid back and easy. But I'm kind of over it. I loved my hair when it was super layered and super blonde, so why the heck not. Here's my favorite pic of me...and everyone who sees it says, "I loved your hair like that." Noted.

Friday's Fashion Wrap Up - vol. 14
So, I quit my job this week. I officially gave my two weeks on Monday, so next Friday will be my last day. ::insert congratulatory applause here:: Trust me, it's a good thing...and no, I don't have another job as yet. I'm just trying to refocus right now.
What this means to you is that this will be my second-to-last FFWU coming to you from Cumulus Media - Melbourne. My outfits in the future will likely be more casual (which I think opens up a whole new world of outfits to post) and I will probably be more timely with my posts since I will have, well, more time. hehe.
Here is my T minus 1 Week outfit:

My outfits in the future will likely be more casual (which I think opens up a whole new world of outfits to post) and I will probably be more timely with my posts since I will have, well, more time. hehe.
Here is my T minus 1 Week outfit:
Skinny Cargos: H&M (shhhh! they're maternity's)
Tank: Old Navy
Cardi: Target
Bracelets: American Eagle and Express
Shoes: Shoedazzle (there's no place like a shoe store)
Earrings: Charlotte Russe
I decided to have a bit of fun with my work outfit this week, and I just happened to stumble across some sweet maternity cargos I forgot about. Lo and Behold, they fit! I just folded the belly panel down and wore a longish tank and BAM! Love it when it works out like that. I love this cardi too since its bright color just screams Spring.
On a side note, I really need to get my highlights done. Yikes!

FEATURED on Baby Blackbird!
One of my favorite style blogs of all time is Baby Blackbird. She does all these great celebrity outfit posts and mini style where she features her adorable kiddos King and Harlow. One of the super cool features she does is called Mini Street Style where readers submit photos of their stylish kids.
So, I did what any good mommy/fashion blogger would do...I submitted my kiddo! And this morning I woke up to an email from Brandy saying today was the day for Nash's post! Woot woot...so go check it out!

Friday's Fashion Wrap Up - vol. 13
Hahahaha, I'm so late on this one it's funny. I mean, it's funny, right? hehe, maybe not. Anyways, I was out of the loop all weekend doing Army stuff (including a makeup on Friday), so I didn't get a chance to post this. But here it is! And the best part? You'll get ANOTHER FFWU in just two days! So you have to forgive me, k?
Here we go!
I normally do my hair like this when I have Army duty, so I was a bit hesitant to pull it out for work. But I think it went well with the outfit...and I pulled out a few loose strands and fluffed it up a bit so it didn't look so Army stiff.
In case you didn't realize, I took a trip to Old Navy last week and pretty much snagged this entire outfit. While I'm not the biggest ON fan (I think their clothes tend to fit funny), sometimes they really surprise me. I have several cute, comfortable dresses from ON and now this outfit. And I love how inexpensive they are...that way I don't mind buying a skirt with a crazy print that I may hate in a year.
