New Link!

I got two new twitter followers today thanks to my post about updates to my wedding blog. One of them had a link to this really cool website called Hostess with the Mostess...it's too friggin great! It has all kinds of ideas, not just for weddings, but really just for parties and entertaining in general.

Getting in Shape

So, we are about 5 months out and I seriously need a get in shape guide. It's not that I'm fat or anything, I just really need to lose some jiggles. I need to tone up, but I don't have ready access to a gym. Or maybe I should just bite the bullet and join Premiere. It's pricey though. Maybe I'll just do it for a month (even though I won't be here half of that month). It's so tough when you're on the go all the time.

Abs are made in the kitchen. Image from Pixacom.

I know I need to eat better...that's my biggest problem. I eat like a clean machine 80% of the time, but like a monster the other 20%. It's just so hard to eat healthy all the time...especially when you have to cook it, and it takes a lot of ingredients and time...Being here, I don't feel like whipping up any meals or anything. Last night I had baked chicken with baked asparagus and various veggies. It was so lame. But I'm out of ideas. I know I need to never eat fast food, which I've only done recently because I'll go 6 or hours without eating lunch thinking I need something healthy, and eventually I'm like, I just need to eat. So, I need better planning (maybe stop making my schedule so stressful).

So, no fast food. No bread (I've been slipping on this too). And only one sweet a day. This one is tough because I love sweets. But it's for a better good. Need to have a banging wedding day bod...and if we decide to have babies soon after, I don't want to start out looking like a cow because then I'll never get back in shape.

Maybe I can find a guide online somewhere...like 5-Month Wedding Shape Up. Hmmmm.....

Dresses

Yesterday was a craaaaaazy day! I went to the NYC to pick up the dress, but not without a few hiccups along the way.

First, I had googled how to get to the Baltimore Park N Ride place where I was going to catch the bus. Google maps sent me out into the middle of nowhere and of course, because there was construction on the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel, I was late. I was driving around in frantic circles calling Mandy and Joe trying to figure out where this damn place was. Finally I found it at like 1030. My bus left at 1010. Soooo, I asked the attendant if there was a way for me to get on the next bus which was coming at 1040 and thankfully he said yes.

Bridezillas

OMG...so I am watching this Whose Wedding Is It Anyways show on Style and I can't really believe it. It's about these two sisters who decide to share their wedding in order to save money for their parents, but they have totally different styles.

But that's not the OMG part...the OMG part is that one sister is the hugest b*otch. She wants everything like a damn disco and doesn't care about what her sister wants. Like she got mad because they came out of the dressing room in their dresses at the same time. And they're from Philly, so they have that obnoxious New England accent and are just whine, whine, whine...

Makes me so hapy and proud to be a normal bride. I'm sure Joe is glad.

Vegas, Here We Come!!!

I just booked our Joint Bachelor/Bachelorette Party trip! I am sooooo excited! We decided to stay at the MGM Grand because it got good reviews and it had some awesome bars/restaurants. We booked the whole thing through Expedia, even though I started out looking on Vegas.com. On Vegas.com, you have to choose your departing and returning flight together, so I couldn't find one that had good flights on both. So, Expedia lets you choose each one individually and the price was about the same anyways.

We're going a weekend early, so the 19th through the 21st in order to be there when one of his friends is there. Plus there's not much going on then anyways, even though it's the weekend after Valentine's Day. Hopefully lots of people will be able to come. I'm going to send out a mass email here in a bit to let everyone know we've finally nailed down the date and location.

Woooohooooo!!! I just need to get my liver in order so I don't get too hungover!

New Ideas

So, I've been noticeably absent from the blogging world as I've been super busy getting out of the Army and working on school stuff. But I am back now that I am just a student with lots of time to kill.

Tonight I looked through an old wedding magazine and saw a picture of some paper garland that I love. I wanna use it behind the candy bar to really make the table stand out. Here it on this bluk party supply website:

I got some in yellow and some in white, so we'll mix it up a bit... I just have to figure out how to hang it from the ceiling since they are only 12' high and I'm sure the ceiling is higher than that. I also bought some yellow tissue paper balls to use at the rehearsal dinner, or where...just in case.

It seems a bit cheesy to use paper decorations, but I saw them in Martha Stewart Wedding magazine so it must be chic!

I need to think of other things that I still have left to do and take care of them. Here's a running list:

  • Print and assemble invite and response cards
  • Build escort card box
  • Create and print escort cards
  • Create and print table number signs
  • Finish photobooth and wedding signs
  • Stick labels on favor bags
  • Order candy
  • Order alcohol (figure out what we're doing with sour mix)
  • Order stuff for and assemble guest bags
  • Order stuff for and assemble bridesmaid bags
  • Buy other wedding party gifts
  • Choose groomsmens' outfits (and groom)
  • Make beauty appointments
  • Scout pre-picture location and determine any requirements (cover windows, a/c, etc...)
  • Make music selections (arrrrggghhhh!!!!)
  • Book honeymoon
  • Book Vegas for bachelor/ette party
  • Make final payment on dress and pick up
  • Find bridal lingerie for underneath the dress
  • Make cake tasting appt and choose cake
  • Finalize linen issue with caterer
The list goes on and on!! I am so glad I still have almost months to go. Woops, actually we are nearing the 5 month mark. We're at 5 1/2 right now, I guess, so time's a tickin!

Wedding Statistics

The other day Joe and I were wondering how long the average engagement is...since it seems like everyone considers ours to be long. Granted, we will be engaged for about 19 months by the time we get married, but I don't really think that's all that long. So, I decided to do some research. Find some really interested wedding statistics on this website.

Turns out the average engagement is 14 months! So we are a little long in comparison, but it makes sense for us. I mean, what's the rush?!?!

They talk about the average cost of wedding, honeymoon, engagement, average costs, dress costs, etc... Very interesting stuff...check out.

Updated Jewelry!

I mentioned in an earlier post that I was having all of my jewelry made by an Etsy crafter name LuluSplendor. I've just been sending her pics and she comes up with amazing stuff.

First up was the hair comb that I plan to wear in lieu of a veil.

Up next is the matching vintage cuff bracelet, which I am so excited about! She said she needs to wait for a new metal order, so it should take about 6 weeks to get the supplies. But I have plenty of time...and I'm stoked! It's all going to be so perfect!

Regret

So, it's been awhile since I last posted. We're kind of in a lull in the wedding planning. We've organized just about everything we can right now...just waiting to get closer to finish everything out. I've even stopped looking at wedding blogs and magazines so as to not get any more "new and amazing" ideas. It is what it is right now.

But.

Tonight I came home from work and started watching a TLC show called Say Yes to the Dress. I just thought it would be fun, but almost 7 hours later, I'm feeling a bit down. It reminds me of how I went dress shopping alone. I wish I could have had people with me, you know? Just to feel like someone else was involved and into it and wishing the best for me. But I just went alone.

I guess I can't totally say that since Joe went with me to two different places. He really was a trooper and it meant a lot to have him there. He was there when I picked "the dress" and even though he was hesitant for me to commit to such a price tag, he fully supported me when I said I couldn't live without it. This is why I am marrying him...he's there for me when no one else is. And that's what marriage is about...

So maybe a better title for this post would have been Out of Sadness Comes Happiness.

Purpose

"The point of a wedding is to strengthen and widen the social circle of the new family."

Musical Inspiration

One day at work, I decided to see if I could nail down some song choices to play at the reception. This is a somewhat difficult task considering the fact that Joe and I have more than a decade between us. Let's just say our musical tastes are not what brought us together. Even so, they are not that far off from each other, but I wanted to make sure we include some pieces from both of our eras, if you will.

So, I stumbled across this website, which basically allows you to search for top 100 wedding songs from each year beginning way back. It was quite humorous to scroll through the 80's, for example, and see how many songs I knew and might even be able to sing along to. It got more and more difficult as the years went backwards, but it was interesting nonetheless to see what the top wedding song of each year was.

I was able to find some good ideas from that, but clearly we have more work to do. Although Joe has been involved in the planning, I don't think he's going to be much help in suggesting songs. But we'll see.

Here are the ideas I have thus far:
  • I Got a feeling – Black Eyed Peas (fun, dancey entrance of whole bridal party to reception)
  • Yellow – Coldplay (cake cutting or something…love song with rock vibes, but it’s called YELLOW!!)
  • Just Dance – Lady GaGa (first song of dancing period…will really get things going)
  • White Wedding – Billy Idol (this was Mac’s suggestion)
  • Faith - George Michael (I have to!!!!)
Thinking about the music gets me excited again! Almost down to the 7 months-to-go mark!!

Diamonds and Disappointment

So, for about a week now I have been talking about this Ritani trunk sale that Mervis Diamond Importers was having today. I told Joe it was 25% off and they looked nice, so I was going to check it out. I said if I found something I liked, I was likely going to buy it. He said ok.

So, today I get up and go about noonish. When I get there, they show me this amazing eternity band that is just about exactly what I am looking for. It's white gold, shared-prong, and about 1.5 carats tw. It's perfect. So, I ask them how much it would be and they say $2600. Now, it may seem like a lot, but that's the best price for product I've come across so far. I mean, the 1 carat NON-ENTERNITY band at Zales is $2400, so it's like way better. And it looked beautiful with the engagement ring.

So, I snap a pic and send it to Joe. I wait a few minutes, then give him a call. At first, he doesn't seem that interested. I tell him to check the pic and call me back. When he does, I ask him what he thinks and he says, "it just seems like a lot of money to spending in a recession." I was like, so you don't want me to get it? He asked why I had to pay a deposit today...I said, well, because it's a one-day sale. You know, like Macy's one day only sales...

THEN...he starts going on about how this "whole thing is getting pretty expensive." I didn't have much to say... I mean, it's true, our wedding is expensive, but we knew that from the get go. Never once has he said anything about how much everything costs... And I've covered almost all of the payments so far, so really it hasn't affected him at all! I mean, I've plunked down about $9K this far, and he's not even to $1k yet! Now, that's not totally fair because he paid for the engagement ring... But it's the point. And so, here I am...

Eh, what can I do?

Shoe Updates

Woooooo!!! My black diamond Swarovski rhinestones came in, so I was able to finish my shoes. Although they didn't fit in the design as well as I'd hoped, a little bit of spacing all around made it look great. Here are the pics:

Back View

Front View

Side View of Heel

The "i do" on the bottom

It came out pretty good I think...and they are unique! I still need to get some sweet-looking foot pads for the inside so my feet won't ache. Will also need to remember to pack bandaids because they may rub me the first time I wear them.

Apparently my garter set has shipped, but I haven't gotten it yet.

Also, Lulusplendor is working on the hair piece I requested. She sent me a mock-up of the design:

This is the overall design...isn't it beautiful?! Except this is raw brass, as she explained to me, so the finish will look like this:

I think this will work beautifully with the dress and the whole look. I can't wait to see everything all done! And the clip is only going to cost me $62, so I'll get the whole lot, custom, for less than I could get some other boring vintage jewelry.

Cocktail Hour Seating

So, we're kinda out of ideas for this one. Our space for the cocktail hour is kind of boring, so we're looking for ways to jazz it up on the cheap, as well as add some seating for our guests.

Here's the space (sorry for being off-center):

The Whole view from the front of the building...

View from the door to the entry way...

So, not a lot of trees to hang lights or decorations off of... Just a big open circle patch of grass.

(1) Seating.
We are playing with the idea of using hay bales as seats. Check this out!

Photo from Snazzy Jazzy

Except we will be covering the whole thing with fabric. We'll use some egg crate material to pad it, then cover with some awesome fabric. Just a few of these will make an awesome impression.

(2) Music.
Since my uncle Terry's band Second Wind will be playing the cocktail hour, he's going to send me a list of equipment he needs and whether or not he will need power. I think we'll have to run an extension cord from the building if we do need power, but no biggie. We'll work through it.

(3) Decor.
I was going to see if our florist Amanda could do some extra yellow tissue paper balls and candle lanterns for this space. Since there aren't many trees, I was thinking we could tie strings between the few trees and hang things from that. Here's inspiration:

Photo from Wedding Decorator Blog
This one is a little cramped...those balls are huge, but you get the string idea.

Here are some other lights...

Photo from The Knot

It's a work in progress, but the ideas are coming together.

Shoes

So, my beautiful shoes got dyed last week. They look amazing! I can't wait to bedazzle them! I have all the Swarovski crystals and the glue, I am just working through how I want to design them.

Here they are with no crystals.

I am searching the internet for some design ideas, but it seems like most shoes just have the entire heel covered in crystals. I am not sure I want to go that route.

Photo found here

Or this one

Photo found here

I am leaning more towards something like the second one, since I don't really want to cover the entire heel. Not that it looks bad, but since my shoes are bright yellow, I was thinking something more subtle.

Wedding Rings Test

So I went to the mall tonight to try on some rings to get a feel for what looks good with my engagement ring. It was VERY helpful. So, it looks like round stones in a prong setting look the best....oddly enough.

There's one at Bailey Banks and Biddle that I like.

But it was in platinum and cost nearly $7k! I asked if it could be made it white gold and she wasn't sure. Too bad...that's too much.

Then I checked out some at Zales and actually really like the Celebration Diamond band that goes with my ring. It's only $1900!

Wedding Cakes

Here are some pics of what I am thinking

I love this one! It looks really vintage and romantic!

This one is great...simple and already in the right colors.

Again, another vintage one...it's beautiful. Except with yellow!

More Ceremony Music

What about this for the girls:

Or this for the recessional!

Or this one!

This one is somberly romantic

Bridesmaid Processional

I don't even know if that is the right term for it, but for the girls walk down the aisle before me...

Here is what I am thinking. I really wanted to be able to incorporate this song somehow because I absolutely love it...I think it's romantic and beautiful and moving. Sooooo....I thought because it has a violin melody, it would be perfect for the girls! Here is an almost-instrumental version of it. I couldn't find one without any words, but it's a karaoke version so the lyrics are lowered and you really hear the music behind it. (and you can see the lyrics on the crappy Youtube version I found, so you can see how sweet of a song it is!)

New Stuff

I've been doing a lot of searching lately...looking for interesting things to add to the wedding or my outfit or whatever. I am becoming an Etsy addict!

I found this amazing, romantic garter set in Mollusa's shop, so I asked her to make it for me in my colors. The result is amazing and perfect!

By Mollusa

It is so perfect and romantic and quirky and unique...I just love it. And it cost me less than $40! How perfect.

Then I began looking for jewelry. I've been looking for a (1) hair clip, (2) cuff bracelet, and (3) earrings that are all very vintage, sparkley, and romantic. I just couldn't find anything online...I even checked HSN and found a few things, but nothing perfect. And a lot of the things I did like were super expensive.

Then I stumbled upon the shop of Lulusplendor. OMG. Everything is amazing, and I'm sure she will be able to make me something amazing. I found this hair clip that was pretty close to what I want.

I asked if she could make it in silver instead of the antique...and also told her to make it unique however she thinks best.

And this cuff:

I asked her if she could make this design but wider all the way around. I really want a wide cuff, so here's hoping! I also asked her to make a pair of dramatic, dangly earrings to match. I'm excited to hear from her and I'll be sure to post pics once I get them!

I also booked a room at the Crowne Plaza for the night before the wedding and the wedding day, so the girls and I have somewhere to get ready. I offered to have Kim and Heaven stay with me that night, so we'll see what they say.

Joe and I are getting ready to book our honeymoon and buy our rings, so things are moving along. I think we will end up buying my ring off Blue Nile, since they have awesome rings, great prices, and a 30-day return policy (since it's online shopping). I can't wait!

AND I found out that no shop in Melbourne will store my dress....so it looks like it's coming home with me. The benefit is that I will have it there to try on whenever I need (or want), but I just hope it doesn't get ruined!

Father Daughter Song

My daddy sent me a text this last weekend suggesting that we add "Because You Love Me" by Celine Dion to our short, but distinguished list of potential father-daughter dance songs.

Ideas Come Together

On my trip home to Florida this weekend, Joe and I met the florist at the reception site to talk through some ideas and figure out where everything was gonna go. We think we've nailed down a location for the cocktail hour, although we have to evaluate some logistical stuff before we can say for sure.

She is going to do some amazing stuff with the fabric draping, so that it covers up clocks and signs and whatnot. We are also doing a cool draping/lighting combo behind the head table where J and I will be sitting. It all makes it so real! Even Joe felt like it's all coming together into something real now, so that's exciting.

I had to email the caterer though because I wanted to let them know our head count may be going up. And I also wanted to make sure we get enough linens for all the specialty tables...and they said they would do the layout for all the tables. I worked up a really funny one in powerpoint, which I should post just for laughs.

Slow Season

So, as the summer winds down and we near the 8 months out mark, I am kind of at a standstill with things to do to prepare for this wedding. I had heard before that there is a sort of reverse bell curve for wedding planning...busy in the beginning and the end and slow in the middle. And I'm definitely noticing that trend. My calendars, budgets, checklists are all pretty sparse right now, until about February of next year.

I am looking to book my hotel room for the night before the wedding. I think it's totally romantic to not spend the night before together. Plus I'd like a place for me and the girls to hang out, get ready, etc... I'm going to book a nice room at the Crowne Plaza, so that should be great.

I'm also looking to book the appointments for our hair and makeup at Essentials, but I need to find out who wants to get what done. Joe told me today that our friend April is going to school to learn how to do makeup, so she said something about doing my makeup. This would be great because she is already good at doing makeup, I think...plus salons always make you look weird.

Still pining over the music selection, and wishing I could see my dress. I miss it. Part of me thinks they should send it to FL sooner than I had planned, but I don't want it to get damaged. I need to find out if one of the local bridal shops will store it for me and do the alterations, even though I didn't buy it from them. I'll email them right now.

Crazy

I found this on MSN this morning. I have to say she is insightful about a lot of things...a lot of things I definitely thought/felt before I met Joe.

Now I'm a skeptic who says she's jilted. But then again, I'm not 46 and married for 20 years yet. So I'm just praying she's wrong.

Thoughts

I think deep down I thought I might never get married. I thought I would always be stuck in great relationships soaked in doubt, and never really be ready to commit myself to one person. So I think all my emotion is because I'm so happy and it's all so unbelievable to me.

Maybe I shouldn't be so emotional...I should just be happy. And I am happy...I'm just a weepy basket case.

Hehehehehe....

This is going to be amazing. I'm so lucky.

Dresses Part I

I guess I didn't post a pic of the dress that Kristi chose, so here it is:

Dresses part II

So, Lea and I took Alysa to pick out dresses for the two of them. Alysa hurriedly tried on 5 dresses, running out to look in the mirror, then running back inside the dressing room. After declaring each one her absolute favorite, I finally convinced her to pick one. And this is it:

Lea also tried on like 5 dresses, most of which looked great. We just had to decide which one she liked best, and which one didn't require her to buy some crazy bra contraption. We ended up both loving this one:

So, now we have Kristi's and Lea's dresses chosen...just waiting to see what the other girls pick. I sent them the details of the dresses they chose, so that they can pick a different dress or the same dress, if they want. I'm so excited!

We just found out that Kristi is pregnant too, so that's great! She will likely give birth about 3 weeks before the wedding, so she is stressing a little about the dress, but I think it will be fine. She should just buy a larger size and have it altered when she gets close. I bet she ends up being one of those girls who goes back to being skinny right away! I'm so stoked for her though!

Maybe our babies can hang out...although mine will undoubtedly be a year younger, but what can you do. ;-)

Update

The ring pillow is just about finished. I completed my first attempt at embroidering by adding a "D" to the back of it. I just have to borrow my sister's sewing machine and seal everything up. Will add pics when it's finished.

We've find a ceremony musician...it's a guy named Igor who has a string quartet. So we'll work out the finer details later, but at least we have one! And my uncle is going to play the cocktail hour...he's in a band that tours around the northeast so he'll play guitar and bring his singer Suzi. And we've got DJ Shane for the reception, so we're set for music!

We've got two of the three hotels blocked off and info up on the website. I think my dad and family are going to book really soon, so I did it right in time! I am coming up with ideas for guestbags...have a few ideas.

I am been scouring sites looking for an inexpensive ring. I really want a thin diamond eternity band, kind of like these (both pics from Blue Nile):

And this one:

But I don't want to spend an arm and a leg for it. ::sigh:: What's a girl to do?

Joe is going to get a cool ring too, but I think his will be much cheaper than mine.

Have some more web searching to do!

Kristi's Dress

One of my girls has gone and tried on dresses already. Kristi looks great in them all, but I think she likes the brown one the best.

Slideshow

Lea and I will go in two weeks...not sure when Mindy is coming up or when Kimberly is going. Haven't heard for sure about Carolyn either. Can't wait to see the pics!

Photobooth backdrop

So, I mentioned that we are going to do a polaroid-esque photobooth, right? I did a bunch of research on how we are going to pull it off and I think we can just tack it right to the wall in the back hallway on the way to the bathrooms. It's out of the way, yet in the way enough to encourage people to want to stop and pose.

Here is the backdrop I found at Joann's:

It's wild and fun, and I think it will make interesting pics. I have the guestbook all ready to go, with extra pages and everything. I just need to figure out if I can put the cam on a tripod or not, or how I am going to do that. Going to leave some props for people to use, as well as some cool stickers, words, etc... for them to embellish their pics once they add them to the book.

The last hoorah

So, I think Joe and I have settled on an idea for the bachelor/bachelorette party that will appease even the most whiny of his friends.

We. are. going. to. VEGAS.

Yup. Just one or two nights, cheap flights, awesome hotels...spas and shopping for the girls, golf and gambling for the guys. And lots of alcohol and dancing for us all at night.

What could be better.

SIN.

Guestbook

Oh yeah, forgot to mention...

I bought one of these on Amazon to try out.

If it's good, then we'll use for the guestbook. Guests will take pics of themselves and paste it into the album next to a little note. Woo hoo!!

DIY

So, I have been hella crafty for this wedding, let me tell you. I am trying to make as much stuff as I can to (1) cut costs and (2) make our wedding truly unique and just what we want it to be. I mean, if I can't find exactly what I want for the price I want it for, then I will try to make it.

Here are some of the things I have made thus far:

Program Fans (envision it on yellow cardstock)

FYI: I got the template here.

Guestbook

Pewter "Forever" to use as decor somewhere...gift table maybe

Ring pillow (still needs to be sewn and I will embroider a "D" and our date on it)

My future projects include finishing the invites (already designed, but didn't take a pic or anything), possibly the tree thing for the escort card table (depending on the quote from the florist), menus, and who knows what else.

I just love all this crafty stuff!

Music and stuff

What a week!

Just sent an email to a string ensemble out of Orlando, I think.
http://bellastringsflorida.com/

They seem nice...and I think they can do the song I want them to do. I just don't know if a harp will pull off the music I want.

I also sent ideas to the two florists I was recommended...so we'll see what ideas the come up with and how much they want to charge me for it!! I was looking online today and learning how to make one of those amazing manzanita crystal trees like I have in the earlier post about escort card tables. I could so do it. But the branches will be about $20-40, then the crystals are like $100. Plus rocks, paint, labor, flowers, etc... So we'll see what kind of price they give me then I'll debate making it myself. Who knows, maybe I will do a good job at all these crafts.

Joe and I picked out fabric and everything for the ring pillow I am making. I got it online...
http://www.weddingbee.com/2009/04/09/diy-ring-pillow-from-martha-to-mom/

Except mine is going to be this pretty charcoal shimmery fabric with a beautiful yellow charmeusey satin flower. The ribbon is dark gray too. I am going to knock it out when I go see Lea in June for Alysa's birthday. It's going to be amazing!

Finally, the caterer said they don't have the silver pintuck. But they do have silver bichon and platinum lamour. So I said, ok, send me some swatches. And I also asked her to send me some of any nice white linens they have, so that I can go that route if I want. Whatever.

Joe took his parents to both sites today and apparently they liked them! His dad just asked if we were going to leave the hideous florescent lights on, but of course I said no. Just candles and yellow uplighting! It's going to be romantical!!!

Anyhoo...not much to do tonight...would normally be date night for me and the Mr, but he is there and I am here. More wedding blog searches then!

Escort cards

I am love with this idea for the escort card table...

And this is my dream...except with yellow flowers on those branches! And maybe more candles...

F***ing Linens

Seriously. I'm so over the linen issue.

The caterer tells me they have these awesome linens and it's all included. Then she sends me a proposal with a cost of $500 for table cloths and $600 for chair covers. Huh?

So, then I say, not happening. What else can we do? And it seems like the wedding planner and the caterer are just out to make me spend a lot of money (people warned me about this). I just can't justify that kind of money for one night. For fabric. Seriously.

So, after a few weeks of deliberation and research, I think I may have found the solution. Either go with the light gray "silver" pintuck linens that the caterer supposedly has in stock OR go with nice white linens and set them off with pewter napkins and specialty tables. This is my final push. I give up after this.

Still have to decide about the chairs. I'd really like the chivari chairs, but my dad doesn't seem thrilled about the delivery charge. I can't say I blame him because $750 for chairs is a bit much. But $600 for chair covers (which are hideous anyways) is a bit much too...so...

Blah blah...this is why people get married in Vegas.

Hello, everyone. Here is the new and improved blog.

So, I've been trying to decide on music. The whole ceremony music thing is going to be difficult since I've only been to one wedding in my life. I was searching other wedding blogs, and I found this. It actually made me cry!

This one is traditional, but still romantic.

I used to love this song...might be good as a first dance song!

And who can argue with this for Father/Daughter Dance:

Although this one is awesome too!

Joe likes this one as Father/Daughter...
